The Future is Unwritten brings text about Dialogues currently implementing societal innovation towards a more sustainable world. With leading UN agencies describing the recent pandemic as nature's first 'warning shot'.
As part of Goals House @ UNGA, Community Jameel and The Future is Unwritten convened this UN75 Dialogue to highlight the healing power of art after trauma and conflict. The event explores ground-breaking research into the links between art and health and focuses on a specific case study relating to the preservation of Yazidi culture following the ISIS genocide in 2014.
The Pilgrimage & The Pandemic brings together voices from the world of Art and Health to discuss this year's Hajj in the context of COVID-19 and the role of creativity in faith and spirituality during times of societal anxiety. The panel will also discuss how the the city of Mecca successfully managed the challenge of a mass gathering during a global pandemic.
Hosted by Rem Koolhaas and Samir Bantal, this special UN75 Dialogue coincides with the reopening of the seminal exhibition, Countryside, The Future at the Guggenheim in New York.
